The Design Process
Here's is a summary of what you can expect and what is included with our design fee and service..
Consultation & Site Assessment
We begin with a 60 min consultation to discuss your project, design direction and preferences.
Following this, we determine the complexities of the project and will provide you with a quote to prepare your designs. There is no obligation to progress forward with our service at this stage.
Once you are happy to proceed, we will undertake a complete site assessment, including detailed site measurements, environmental aspects (sun direction, wind issues, etc.), and soil quality.
Draft Plan Design
Your designer will draft the first set of plans. This stage can take two to five weeks, depending on what is required.
Plans include digital "mood boards" to capture the design direction based on your feedback during our first consultation.
A 2D plan with a suggested plant list, 3D images, and a 3D video are included in our design service to help you visualise your future garden.
Draft Design Consultation
Your designer will present the draft plans in detail and seek additional input or clarity around your preferred direction.
Any changes suggested during this discussion will be included in the final plans.
At this stage, we provide you with a quote to complete the installation work. We include a summary of what City Botanics will be managing and whether other contractors are required to complete additional aspects of the installation.
Once all changes have been discussed and finalised, we then begin working on your final plans.
This takes approx 1-2 weeks to complete, at which point we will provide you with a link to download your digital files.
Once you have decided to proceed, we will work with you to schedule the installation.
